Rain, rain, rain...pouring rain for 2 days...

The tent did good with the 2-day downpour, although the carpet did get wet inside due to my leaving the floor zipper open a tad...whoops. I am now the proud owner of a wet/dry vac. But, other than that...the tent is dry and toasty. The wood pallets and plywood underneath the tent are working great! I managed to get my queen-size memory foam mattress in my sleeping pod by bending it a bit. It is soooo comfortable! Lots better than the cot. I believe I am ready for winter, which is good, since snow is forcast possibly for Tuesday...yeaaaa!!!!!

Jenn doing most of the winter construction...

getting ready for winter!

Some friends came over to help move the tent onto some wood pallets and plywood. I am hoping that keeping the tent @ 5" off the ground will help prevent melting snow from seeping underneath the tent.  There is nothing like good friends!!!! In the picture are Nathan, Garrett and Jesse. Jenn and Tim also helped with the "construction"!!!
